Distinctive within Albania, the resort is owned by the Birra Stela beer company and is located next to the Birra Stela factory. Opened in December 2009, the property extends across more than 15,000 m². Its connection with the brewery gives visitors the opportunity to arrange guided tours of the beer production process directly on site, offering an insight into the operations of the company behind the resort. The beer garden restaurant further reflects this association and forms part of the property’s dining facilities.

The resort is positioned 500 metres from the lively QTU Shopping Centre, providing convenient access to one of the nearby attractions. Local buses serving the city centre stop at QTU every half an hour. From there, the journey to the centre takes approximately 15 minutes. Tiranë city centre is located 7 kilometres from the resort, while Tiranë International Airport is 9 kilometres away. This location places the property within reach of both the capital’s central area and the transport connections serving the surrounding region.

Places to visit near the accommodation

Te Stela Resort & SPA is situated on the Tirana–Durrës highway in Kashar, west of central Tirana. Its location provides access to the capital’s main cultural sites, while several shopping and historical destinations are located along the western side of the metropolitan area.

QTU Shopping Center is one of the closest major commercial destinations to the resort. Located beside the Tirana–Durrës corridor, it contains shops, cafés, restaurants, and everyday services. It is primarily a retail and leisure facility rather than a heritage attraction, but it can be useful for visitors seeking shopping or dining outside the city centre.

Citypark Albania, also positioned along the highway toward Durrës, is another large retail and entertainment complex. Visitors can find fashion and household stores, food outlets, and family-oriented leisure facilities. Its location makes it relevant for travellers who prefer an easily accessible commercial destination near the resort.

In central Tirana, Skanderbeg Square forms the city’s principal public space and is surrounded by several important landmarks. Nearby visitors can see the Et’hem Bey Mosque, the Clock Tower, the National Historical Museum, and government and cultural buildings. The square is also a useful starting point for exploring the pedestrian streets and cafés of the city centre.

The National Historical Museum presents Albania’s history through archaeological, medieval, modern, and contemporary collections. Its exhibits cover major periods of the country’s cultural and political development. The museum stands on Skanderbeg Square, making it convenient to combine with the central landmarks.

Bunk’Art 2 occupies a former communist-era nuclear bunker near the city centre. Its exhibition focuses on the history of Albania’s communist security structures and the experiences of people affected by political persecution. The museum uses the bunker’s original underground spaces as part of the visit.

On the eastern side of Tirana, Bunk’Art 1 is housed in a large anti-nuclear bunker near the lower station of the Dajti Ekspres cable car. Its displays examine Albania under communist rule, including political repression, military preparations, and everyday life during the period.

Mount Dajti is Tirana’s principal mountain recreation area. The Dajti Ekspres cable car connects the city with the mountain slopes, where visitors can find walking areas, viewpoints, and open landscapes overlooking Tirana and the surrounding plain. Access involves travelling across the city from the resort.

Preza Castle, north-west of Tirana, is a historic fortress above the village of Preza. Its elevated position provides views across the plain toward Tirana, Durrës, and Tirana International Airport. The site includes surviving defensive walls and a prominent clock tower.
